Winning Despite Losing Manpower
We are not going to let the loss in Pittsburgh get us down. We are not built that way. We are built to overcome everything and to have everyone contribute to victories. Don't count us out. I think some people counted us out when Tom Brady was injured and we have found ways to win with Matt Cassel developing and improving every week at quarterback.
That is the way you do things in the NFL. Football is a total team game. We are still very much alive and excited about what we have going. We're going to come together even more now. Everything that happens to us gives us a chance to come together even more.
It has been a pretty tough season for me. My ankle sprain won't go away until the season is over. That's the way it is with high-ankle sprains. I will play through it, but I won't be 100 percent until next season. It's a physical game. I'm used to playing through injuries. I am fine. I feel like I'm still playing well and making this defense better.
We're into December. That's when the grind starts. Teams get better or worse during the season. We have some great competition in the AFC with Pittsburgh, with the Jets and with Tennessee. I feel like we're going to be where we want to be in the end.
Off the field, things are going just great and I want to thank the fans for their tremendous support. We wrapped up our Second Annual Wine Tasting event and it was a great turnout with 450 people who came came through and raised a lot of money.
My Foundation has six events this year, so that is extremely busy and going very well. We have two shopping food giveaways this month and I'm excited about that. The location is Dave's Supermarket in the New England area, so check that out and try to be part of that.
My restaurant back home is going pretty well and things are looking up. I want to help people every day. I feel very blessed to be in this position and I want to share in my success with those who aren't as fortunate.
Thank you, once again, for your support.
