One More Step To Reach Super Bowl 

Sunday is another chance for this team to continue a season that has been so memorable. We beat San Diego earlier in the season, but that doesn't mean a whole lot. We aren't looking at the result of the game, but we are looking at how the Chargers handled the 3-4 defensive scheme in that game. We saw, at least for that game, how the Chargers approached playing against that scheme.

We've watched that film a lot this week, along with everything else. The Chargers are a much better team now than they were then, and they played a great game last week to beat Indianapolis.

This team is taking a business-as-usual approach this week. We know what we have in front of us with the AFC Championship Game. We know we fell last year in this spot and we know this isn't going to be an easy game. Nobody is getting ahead of himself. We're keeping to ourselves and working hard on our responsibilities.

San Diego has some guys who are injured, but I'm sure we'll see LaDainian Tomlinson out there. He is a great player, but I like the way our defense is playing. We gave up 80 yards on the ground against Jacksonville after all the critics predicted they would run all over us. I think we have been physical and efficient.

We're doing our job. We gave up some big plays to the Jaguars, but in the end we pulled things together and did a good job overall in the second half.

This season has been such a blessing. I was talking about my experiences here with the Patriots and it's amazing. This is my fourth AFC Championship Game in the past six years and there have been so many wins and so many great moments. Life is wonderful for everybody -- my family, my friends and everybody. It has been a fantastic ride.

Now we need to win on Sunday and reach the Super Bowl and then get ready for that. One step at a time. That is how we are approaching this week.
