You Win In Playoffs By Playing 60 Minutes
The game in San Diego was a great team win for us. Everybody played a part and we just stuck together and pulled out the victory. We knew what kind of team they had and we knew how good LaDainian Tomlinson is. L.T. is like Michael Jordan. He will get his yards and make his big plays. He is one of the best players in the league.
I thought we went out there in a hostile environment, in the loudest stadium we've played in this year, and beat the team that was the best team in the league this season. We put a lot of pressure on the quarterback and we made big plays when we had to have them. We keep our composure through the hard parts of the game.
We took it to them. We beat them. For L.T. to say afterward what he said about us celebrating, I just think he is a sore loser. If you know anything about the Patriots, you know we are a humble team. We work hard and we stay humble. The Chargers were the team doing the talking during the week. They were talking about their parade and how they were going to celebrate the championship.
We beat them and now we move on. Indianapolis is a team we know. It's going to be a hostile environment. Peyton Manning is a great quarterback and the Colts are playing well.
We've been here before. We know what it takes to win games like these, so we will be ready to play our best game of the season. I'm ready to go. I think I played well in San Diego; no sacks, but I had pressure on the quarterback and helped. Everybody helped. That's why we win as a team.
I think there are some people out there who are amazed by what we're doing, but it's a matter of playing as a team. We're all working hard together. I'm excited about Sunday's game and playing the Colts and taking it to them.
